Q: I was just involved in an accident and my car suffered damage. What should I do?
A: Write the name and contact information of every driver involved in the accident, as well as their driver's license number and auto insurance information. If you have a camera at the scene of the accident, take pictures to show your insurance provider later. If the person(s) involved in the car accident refuses to give you information or doesn't have insurance or a license, then you should notify the police and your insurance agent immediately.

After these issues have been addressed, you will need to report the accident to your insurance provider. An agent will give you a claim number as well as let you know if you are eligible for towing services and car rental.

Q: How many estimates do I need?
A: California law does not require you to have more than one auto repair estimate. You can choose the first auto
repair center you call. Make sure to inform your insurance company of your choice so they can send someone to
inspect the vehicle if necessary.

Q: Am I required to use a referral shop recommended by my insurance company?
A: No. You have the right to choose where your car is repaired.

Q: Do I have to go to my insurance company's claims center for an estimate?
A: No. Just call Monrovia Collision Center and we will schedule an estimate or an appointment with your insurance adjuster to look at your vehicle. We will negotiate on your behalf to make sure your repair is done properly.

Q: How long will my repair take to complete?
A: The amount of time it will take to repair your vehicle depends on a number of factors, including the severity of
the damage and your car or truck's year, make and model.

We are usually able to diagnose all necessary repairs before providing you with an estimate. In some cases, however, we may discover additional damage that we could not detect until accessing structural areas. In these cases, we will contact you immediately to notify you of any changes in repair time or price.

Q: What if my car's frame is bent?
A: The majority of cars and trucks manufactured today have a unibody construction, which means the body and the frame are joined together. The benefits of a unibody design include greater structural integrity and increased noise suppression.

Unfortunately, the unibody construction model also means that damage to the body may cause some degree of damage to the frame. A variety of complications can arise from a bent frame depending on the severity and location of the bend. If your vehicle's frame has been bent in an accident, it must be straightened to within the manufacturer's guidelines.

Q: What is paintless dent repair?
A: Paintless dent repair, or PDR, is a process by which minor dents are repaired by gently tapping or pushing back the underside of the metal automotive skin until it's back in its original shape. PDR allows dent repair without having to disturb the painted exterior surface of the metal.
